Longing for the sea: is it Italian or foreign?  ”… The metaphor of the open sea sailing, with the struggle against the waves and the uncertainties of the journey from one side and the serenity offered by  the  silence and seascapes, seem to touch something deep in the human condition …”.

The article of Giovannella Russo in Alfalyrae’s June newsletter starts as such:

And if you too, like me, strongly believe that the thoughts of human beings are the result of their creativity, positive and negative, that dwells within us in our every moment and creates our reality, it is right to wonder why we wallow in the collective “Negativity” without making an effort to observe even small things that stimulate positivity. For instance, the metaphor of the navigation in open sea, with the struggle against the waves and uncertainties of the journey from one side and the serenity offered by the silences and seascapes, seem to touch something deep in the human condition.
